O Volume Morto foi criado em 2015 e foca em práticas experimentais do som e música. O blog é escrito pelo jornalista e pesquisador pernambucano GG Albuquerque, doutorando em Estéticas e Culturas da Imagem e do Som pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE) e co-fundador do Portal Embrazado, dedicado às culturas musicais das periferias brasileiras.
